Mediterranean Arts Society Director Anastasija Holc successfully led a prestigious three-day vocal masterclass in Italy as a guest professor at Conservatorio Statale di Musica “S. Arlia” già “P.I. Tchaikovsky”.
The masterclass brought together talented young singers from the class of Professor Teresa Cardace, focusing on vocal technique, musical interpretation, and stage performance in a professional yet inspiring atmosphere.
The programme concluded with a special concert by Professor Holc, accompanied by pianist Eugenio Aiello, featuring operatic arias and solo vocal works performed for the public.
The collaboration also marks the beginning of a future partnership between the Mediterranean Arts Society and the Conservatory, creating new opportunities for cultural exchange, masterclasses, concerts, and classical music studies between Malta and Italy.
The masterclass brought together a group of highly talented young musicians from the class of Professor Teresa Cardace, who had the opportunity to present their work and artistic development to Professor Holc across two performance stages during the intensive programme. Throughout the three days, participants focused on vocal interpretation, technical refinement, stage presence, and musical expression under the guidance of Professor Holc.
The atmosphere of the masterclass was both highly professional and warmly collaborative, creating an inspiring environment that encouraged artistic growth, open communication, and meaningful exchange between students and professors alike. Participants described the experience as motivating, educational, and artistically enriching.
The final day of the masterclass concluded with a special concert by Anastasija Holc, accompanied by pianist Eugenio Aiello. During the performance, the audience enjoyed a programme featuring ten operatic arias and solo vocal works, presented with exceptional artistry and musical interpretation. The concert served as a celebratory finale to the successful collaboration and provided students and spectators with an inspiring live musical experience.
The masterclass represented an important professional and cultural achievement for everyone involved. Students demonstrated remarkable artistic improvement under the mentorship of Professor Holc, while many new friendships and professional connections were formed throughout the programme.
As a significant outcome of this collaboration, Mediterranean Arts Society and Conservatorio Statale di Musica “S. Arlia” già “P.I. Tchaikovsky” have agreed to establish future cooperation in the field of classical music education and performance. This partnership aims to strengthen cultural and educational ties between the Maltese and Italian classical music scenes through concerts, masterclasses, academic opportunities, competitions, and cultural exchange programmes. The collaboration will create valuable opportunities for Maltese students to pursue official studies in Italy, while Italian students will be welcomed to participate in concerts, competitions, and masterclasses organised in Malta by the Mediterranean Arts Society.
