The Opus Aureum International Music Competition has successfully concluded its inaugural edition, bringing together talented young musicians from several countries in an international celebration of music, artistic expression, and excellence.

Held online from 28 to 31 August 2026, the first-ever edition of Opus Aureum featured two disciplines: Opera Singing and Piano. Young performers from across Europe and beyond took part in the competition, presenting their artistic and musical abilities before an international panel of judges.

Participants were evaluated on a range of artistic criteria, including technical proficiency, musicality, interpretation, artistic expression, and overall performance.

The inaugural competition saw a strong level of participation and highlighted the remarkable dedication of emerging musicians. Following the conclusion of the judging process, the organizers announced the overall results, with Grand Prix, First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize distinctions awarded across the two disciplines.

Among the highest-scoring performers, artists from Serbia, Ukraine, Montenegro, Italy, Russia, Greece, China, Canada, Belarus, and Romania were recognized for their achievements.

The Mediterranean Arts Society, together with Opus Aureum, congratulates all participants and award recipients for their commitment, preparation, and passion for music.

We would also like to express our special gratitude to the most successful professors of this inaugural competition: Andrijana Bozic Ilic, Marta Balaz and
Dina Hadziomerovic. Their dedication, guidance, and commitment to the artistic development of their students played an important role in the success of the competition and in bringing outstanding young musicians to the international stage.

As the first edition of Opus Aureum, the competition marks the beginning of a new international platform dedicated to supporting and recognizing young musical talent. The organizers hope to expand the competition in future editions and welcome an even broader community of emerging artists from around the world.

Opus Aureum is organized in Malta under the vision of creating a platform where young musicians can share their artistry, gain international recognition, and continue developing their musical careers.
