Beyond the ordinary

Classical music competitions in Malta hold a unique charm, blending artistic excellence with the island’s rich cultural heritage. Unlike larger international contests, these events create an intimate atmosphere where performers can connect more closely with both the jury and the audience. Malta’s historic venues, often set against stunning Mediterranean backdrops, provide not only acoustical brilliance but also a sense of timeless tradition. This combination of high-level artistry, cultural authenticity, and warm hospitality makes classical music competitions in Malta a distinctive and memorable experience for musicians and listeners alike.

Informations

The competition is open to musicians of all nationalities.

It consists of two main categories:

 

  1. Opera Singing (Live&Online)

  2. Chamber Music(Live&Online)

  3. Piano(Online)

Each category is divided into age groups, including a baby category.

The competition will be held in Luqa and Valletta from13 to 15 of november 2025.

All rounds are open to the public.

Performances may be recorded for promotional purposes.

Jury

Panel of international experts in opera and chamber music.

Decisions are final and binding.

Jury may withhold prizes if standards are not met.

Special awards may be given
